Isomalt is a sugar-free sweetener that can be heated to high temperatures without losing its clear colour or sweetness, and therefore melted and reshaped into any desired shape. It’s a great product to make impressive cake decorations such as gemstones, windows/glass, mosaics and geode cakes.

While not as sweet as sugar, it can be blended with other sugar substitute sweeteners like sucralose to increase the sweetness.

CAUTION: Hot isomalt will stick to skin and cause severe burns. Wear specialist gloves and protective equipment at all times and aim to melt in small amounts. Keep away from children.
