SQUIRES KITCHEN – Isomalt Specialist Sugar 500g & 2KG

Great for a variety of different hard candy sweets these Isomalt Granules by Squires Kitchen contain 50% less calories than other leading brands.

This isomalt will melt clear, and can be easily coloured with gel pastes.

How to use:
1. Melt 500g of Isomalt in a pan over a low heat, stirring continuously.
2. Bring to the boil and then add 60g of liquid glucose and heat the solution to 180 degrees C
3. Remove from the heat and immerse the base in cold water before pouring over a lightly oiled smooth surface.
4. Once cool, break into pieces and store in an airtight container.
5. To use, gently heat until pliable at which point it can be moulded or blown just like sugar.

CAUTION: Hot isomalt will stick to skin and cause severe burns. Wear specialist gloves and protective equipment at all times and aim to melt in small amounts. Keep away from children.
