The Roxy & Rich Fondust colouring is arguable the finest colouring available on the market. What sets these apart from the others available is their vibrancy, coverage, and ease of use.
The colours are perfect for colouring foods such as sugarpaste, and due to their immense concentration, they are excellent for getting the deepest reds, blues browns and blacks as well as the very brightest greens, pinks and purples.
Colours may appear different in the pot than how they apply. This is perfectly normal. We advise testing a swatch so you can see what the final results will be.
Unlike other colourings, Fondust is formulated without the acid found in other colourings, meaning it is extremely resistant to UV rays, so you won’t find that the colour fades over time.
Fondust by Roxy & Rich is the only water-soluble colouring that can be used in food. Not only that, but it can be used in almost any food except chocolate.
Fondust can be used to colour sugarpaste/fondant, modelling paste, florist paste, marzipan, almond paste, buttercream, piping gel, royal icing, cake mix, macarons, cookie dough, pastry and candy; literally anything else you can imagine (other than chocolate).
Due to its concentration, a little goes a long way when using Fondust. For example, you will only need 3g of Fondust to colour 1Kg of sugarpaste. It starts colouring immediately by simply kneading into your sugarpaste and isn’t sticky like other dusts and gel colourings, meaning you will barely have to wash your hands afterwards.
These fully edible colourings are the pinnacle of decorating colours, equally brilliant for experts looking to achieve an intensely vibrant finish, or for novice decorators that simply want the ease of use and coverage.
Fondust does not change the consistency of your food/sugarpaste/candy etc. so you don’t have to worry about anything going wrong when completing your cake projects.
Please note: To ensure the correct colour is achieved, we advise testing a swatch so that you can see the final results.  When colouring buttercream, 2-3 drops of water may need to be added before adding the colourant in order to activate the colour, depending on your buttercream consistency.
To get the most vibrant colours, we advise mixing with alcohol, lemon extract or rejuvenator spirit to make a paint. However, please ensure when mixing with rejuvenator spirit or alcohol, a few drops of water are added before the spirit. Fondust needs to be in contact with water, glycerine or propylene glycol in order to dissolve.
